The myACPNY mobile app was created with a clear goal: to empower users—especially adults and seniors—to manage their health with confidence and ease. Designed with accessibility and independence in mind, the app offers tools for booking appointments, tracking medications, and staying on top of personal health—all from one user-friendly platform.
Objective
The objective of the myACPNY concept design was to create an intuitive, accessible mobile app that empowers adults—especially senior users—to take control of their health with confidence. The goal was to streamline essential healthcare tasks like scheduling appointments, tracking medications, and accessing health records, all within a clean, easy-to-navigate interface. The design focused heavily on usability, legibility, and simplicity to ensure that users of all ages and tech experience levels could manage their care independently.
Challenge
The primary challenge was designing an app that meets the unique needs of both adults and seniors, many of whom may have limited experience with technology. The interface needed to be highly accessible, with clear navigation, large readable text, and straightforward interactions to prevent user frustration. Additionally, the app had to securely integrate critical health management features—like appointment scheduling and medication tracking—while maintaining simplicity and ease of use to encourage regular engagement and foster independence.
Result
The final design delivered a highly user-friendly mobile app tailored specifically for adults and seniors. Key features include an intuitive calendar for easy appointment scheduling, a streamlined interface designed with seniors’ needs in mind, and comprehensive sections to manage doctor information, prescriptions, and refill requests. These enhancements not only simplified health management but also encouraged greater user independence and confidence in taking control of their care.
